Jane E. Warring
Serving insurance industry and business clients, Jane focuses her practice on first-party coverage disputes, cyber business interruption claims, bad faith claims, and subrogation matters under a variety of insurance policy types including all risk, builders risk, energy outage, boiler and machinery, and cyber breach policies. Jane's experience includes handling products liability lawsuits and class actions. She has managed a large volume of coverage and litigation work on business interruption claims arising out of COVID-19.

Obtained a favorable settlement for a market of 9 insurance companies in a multi-million dollar dispute with an apartment owner alleging hurricane damage and bad faith in North Carolina state court.
Obtained a favorable settlement in a landmark dispute between insurers and a casino under a cyber breach policy.
Obtained summary judgment and sanctions award in West Virginia federal court dismissing a multi-million-dollar business interruption loss and bad faith claim by an international metals manufacturing operation.
Obtained a favorable settlement in a direct defense case representing a welding inspection company on behalf of a market of U.S. and London insurers in federal court.
Provide advice to insurers with respect to coverage for data protection costs, extra expenses, and business interruption damages under first party coverages in cyber risk policies.
