On March 6, 2014, Zelle Hofmann hosted an all-day seminar at the Hyatt Regency Reunion in Dallas titled, “Texas Hail Claims – What The Hail™ Is Going On?” The live event and webinar, which was attended by more than 250 insurance industry professionals, focused on all issues commonly arising in this emerging claims area, including:

identification of hail versus other damage
what is "physical loss or damage"?
testing procedures
establishing cost of repair/replacement
code upgrade issues
determining date of loss/pre-existing damage
unauthorized practice of public adjusting
the appraisal process
avoiding common traps, tricks, and pitfalls
identification of fraud
recommended best practices
significant legal issues/new cases
subrogation
