Anna Ali

Anna is an associate in Zelle’s Oakland office. Her practice focuses on complex litigation in antitrust law. She contributes to high‑stakes matters involving unfair competition and class actions, with experience supporting corporate plaintiff affirmative recovery and indirect and direct purchaser cases. Anna has extensive experience conducting in-depth research and analysis of intricate antitrust legal issues. 

Prior to joining Zelle as an associate, Anna worked as a law clerk with Zelle’s Oakland office and received Zelle’s Diversity in Law scholarship.

Representative Matters

Represents United HealthCare Services, Inc. in three individual antitrust matters against the makers of more than 200 generic pharmaceutical drugs, alleging a widespread price-fixing and market allocation conspiracy; these matters have been consolidated with In re: Generic Pharmaceuticals Pricing Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 2724. (United HealthCare Services, Inc. v. Actavis Holdco U.S., Inc., et al., No. 2:19-cv-00629-CMR (E.D. Pa.))

Represents Duke University Health System in an individual opt-out antitrust matter against Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and the individual Blues entities, alleging they colluded to limit competition by, among other things, dividing the country into exclusive service areas to allocate insurance markets, which led to lower reimbursements for providers. Duke University Health System, Inc. et al. v.
