Settlement in DRAM Antitrust Litigation

March 3, 2010

A settlement has been agreed to in a nationwide class action brought by indirect purchasers of "dynamic random access memory" (DRAM) products.  Zelle Hofmann and co-counsel represent the indirect purchaser plaintiffs who purchased computers and other products containing DRAM.  Defendant manufacturers include Micron Technology, Hynix Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies, NEC Electronics America, Elpida Memory, Mosel Vitelic Corp., and Nanya Technology Corp.  The suit alleged that DRAM manufacturers conspired to fix prices on their products from April 1, 1999 through December 31, 2002.  The action is currently pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. Zelle Hofmann was appointed by the Court as Liaison Counsel for the indirect purchaser plaintiffs and is a member of plaintiffs’ Executive Committee.
