Indirect Purchaser Class Action Against SRAM Manufacturers Certified by California Federal Court

November 28, 2009

On November 25, 2009, Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California certified federal and state law classes of indirect purchasers of static random access memory (SRAM) products asserting price fixing claims. Both the federal class and the 27 state law classes allege that, between 1996 and 2006, the semiconductor manufacturer defendants conspired to fix SRAM prices. A class of direct purchaser plaintiffs has already been certified by the court. Zelle Hofmann represents the indirect purchaser plaintiffs, and attorney Chris Micheletti played an integral role in having the classes certified.
