Zelle LLP is pleased to announce that Eric Bowers, of the Firm’s Dallas office, Nick Dolejsi, of the Firm’s Minneapolis office, and Darren Thompson, who will be a partner with Zelle International in London, have been elected to the partnership effective January 1, 2019.

Eric Bowers

Bowers is a coverage litigator who has spent his career defending insurers and pursuing their subrogation interests. His experience spans a broad range of risks, including commercial property insurance, commercial general and auto liability, homeowners, claims-made, builder’s risk, professional liability (E&O), employer’s liability, and excess and umbrella liability. He has multiple seven-figure recoveries for his insurance carrier clients and their insureds, and he has won subrogation cases at all stages: summary judgment, jury trial verdict, and on appeal. Bowers is also experienced at navigating the complexities of trans-border disputes, including currency exchange issues, evidentiary competence, language complications, and cultural awareness. He speaks and writes Spanish fluently and has represented one of the largest companies in Latin America. Bowers will serve as Program Chair for the DRI Insurance Coverage and Claims Institute, which will take place April 3-5, 2019 at the Loews Chicago Hotel in Chicago, IL.

Nick Dolejsi

Dolejsi, who joined Zelle in 2013, represents clients in litigation matters involving commercial disputes, construction and real estate disputes, insurance coverage and liability issues, class actions, and product liability. He also advises clients on an ongoing basis concerning contract, risk management and other general business issues. Dolejsi has experience in jury trials, court trials, and arbitration proceedings in a broad range of areas.

Darren Thompson

Thompson joined Zelle International in 2016. He is a seasoned insurance litigator with experience in high-value cross-border and domestic commercial litigation and arbitration. Thompson has handled complex liability and property claims involving conflicts of law, and his practice focuses on third-party losses. His practice frequently involves dispute resolution by litigation and ADR. He has a strong scientific background frequently handling matters of a technical scientific and numerically complex nature. In addition, Thompson conducts a significant aspect of business activity in German and often deals with cases with a German-language element.
