Zelle International Launches “Rest of World” Insurance Practice Group

Zelle Hofmann Voelbel & Mason LLP, an international litigation and dispute resolution firm, is expanding its London operation with the launch of Zelle International LLP and the continued growth of its “Rest of World” (“ROW”) insurance practice.
Zelle International is headed by Jason Reeves, an English solicitor and a licensed attorney in Texas, and José Umbert, an attorney licensed in California and Spain who relocated from Zelle Hofmann’s San Francisco office to support Zelle International’s growing ROW practice. The Zelle International team often works with local counsel throughout the world, and is comprised of multi-lingual lawyers licensed / qualified in Texas, California, New York, Minnesota, England and Wales, Mexico and Spain.
“We have unique and focused experience to offer our clients who require a trusted partner in handling their complex claims in Latin America and other international jurisdictions,” said Reeves. “For decades, the firm has handled a range of losses for London, European and U.S. (re)insurers in jurisdictions around the world. We are currently representing (re)insurers in cases throughout Central and South America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, and China. In addition to Rest of World, we’re also acting in some high-profile English and U.S. matters.”
Deepa Sutherland, an insurance litigator, recently joined Zelle International as an English solicitor. She brings experience in high stakes international and domestic commercial litigation, arbitration, and e-discovery matters across commercial litigation, internal and regulatory investigations. Prior to joining Zelle International she was an analyst with Epiq Systems and a solicitor with Clausen Miller.
Hernán Cipriotti, a U.S.-licensed attorney bilingual in Spanish and English, also recently relocated from Zelle Hofmann’s Minneapolis office to Zelle International in London. Cipriotti has worked on complex insurance disputes, and has written articles and presentations on cyber risks and cyber insurance.
