April 16, 2010

Partner Steven Badger was quoted in the New York Law Journal article entitled "Silverstein Seeks Unsealing of Property Damage Deal." The article discusses Larry Silverstein's World Trade Center Properties opposing and seeking to unseal a settlement reached by its property insurers and other business loss plaintiffs with airlines and aviation security defendants alleged to be responsible for the 9/11 Terrorist Attack.

Over the past six years Steve’s career has been in large part devoted to leading the $5 billion subrogation action arising from the 9/11 Terrorist Attack.  Serving on the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee, Steve was involved in directing all aspects of the action on behalf of the entire group of property damage plaintiffs.  The litigation was recently settled for $1.2 billion, reportedly the largest subrogation recovery ever obtained.
