Jason Reeves to Present LMA Academy Master Class on Business Interruption
September 9, 2014On September 9, 2014, Jason Reeves, of Zelle Hofmann’s London office, will co-present an LMA Academy master class titled, “Business Interruption: Deductibles and Sublimits.” Joining Reeves for this presentation will be Andrew Schutte of Hill Dickinson LLP, and Joe Aldous of RGL Forensics. The presenters will look at how deductibles and sublimits operate in business interruption (BI) policies and examine the effects this can have across insurance and reinsurance programs.
A number of key issues will be addressed during the presentation:
- deductible and sublimit language used in BI policies
- how the operation of BI deductibles and sublimits can affect (re)insurers’ exposure
- different perspectives on “stacking” BI cover
- exhaustion of limits and priority of payments issues
- time and cash BI deductibles
- average daily value clauses
