Deepa Sutherland

Deepa Sutherland is experienced in high value international and domestic commercial litigation and arbitration. 

She advises London Market and European insurers and reinsurers on English law complex litigation, ADR and coverage matters, often in an international context.

Deepa represents clients and their policyholders in liability defence claims, including product liability, personal injury, and complex contractual obligations, and advises on coverage and subrogation work including property damage and COVID-19 related claims.

Deepa’s practice also focuses on climate change, and she advises the London and European (re)insurance industry on the implications of current and future climate litigation and policy, and future ESG issues.  She regularly writes and speaks on the intersection of climate change and insurance for the (re)insurance industry, academia, and climate change community internationally.

Deepa also has e-discovery expertise across commercial litigation, internal and regulatory investigations.
