October 19, 2020

Zelle LLP is pleased to announce the expansion of its insurance capabilities with addition of George Reede, Jr. and Jessica Pak. They will join the Washington, DC office of Zelle LLP on October 19, 2020.

Reede and Pak were previously with the law firm of Niles, Barton & Wilmer in Baltimore, Maryland.  With their addition to the firm, Zelle LLP will strengthen one of its core practices, as well as its ability to serve clients on a nationwide basis.

“George and Jessica are excellent additions to our firm, and we are eager to bring them on board,” said Kerry Brown, a member of Zelle LLP’s Executive Committee.  “They will enhance our commitment to serving our insurance clients and strengthen our national and international presence.”

“My clients come to me with the difficult cases.  They want to do the right thing, and my goal is to make sure they get the right answers and to put their minds at ease,” said Reede. “There are strong synergies between Zelle's insurance practice and our team that will allow us to provide all of our clients with unparalleled resources and experience.”

Reede is a litigator who has represented commercial property insurers in complex disputes for more than 30 years.  The matters he has handled encompass the wide range of issues that have confronted the insurance industry, including natural disasters, terrorism, fraud, civil unrest and, most recently, COVID-19.

Reede has experience across a broad variety businesses and industries, including manufacturing, retail, professional sports teams and airports.  He has conducted over a thousand examinations under oath for insurance fraud investigations, as well as national and international discovery, including depositions in 30 states, Israel, England and Canada.

Pak focuses her practice on property insurance coverage and defense, and first- and third-party liability. She began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Theresa M. Adams in the Circuit Court for Frederick County, Maryland.

During law school, Pak was the Legal Research & Writing Coordinator for the Moot Court Board. After graduating, she joined the Maryland Office of Attorney General Associate Program, drafting appellate briefs on behalf of the State of Maryland.
