Meredith C. Schilling
Meredith focuses her practice on litigating complex insurance coverage issues arising in first-party property and casualty claims and defending bad faith and extra-contractual claims in both state and federal courts. Meredith is experienced in all aspects of litigation practice and has represented insureds and self-insureds in third-party claims involving general casualty and premises liability, liquor liability, automobile liability and construction site accidents. She has also worked with clients to identify and pursue subrogation claims.
Her diverse first-party property insurance experience includes litigating claims under the National Flood Insurance Program’s Standard Flood Insurance Policies issued by “Write-Your-Own” (WYO) insurers. In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, she achieved positive results working on Sandy-related litigation filed in New Jersey Federal Court and coordinated with FEMA’s Office of Chief Counsel to resolve numerous claims in the Hurricane Sandy Claims Review Process.
Prior to joining Zelle LLP, Meredith was a litigation associate at another Philadelphia law firm.
