Hernán N. Cipriotti

Hernán represents clients in all aspects of litigation. As an associate, he has worked on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes, subrogation matters in Latin America, he has written articles and presentations on cyber risks and cyber insurance, and has worked on multiple cases in other areas.

Hernán is a bilingual lawyer, fluent in Spanish and English, who also has a basic understanding of French and Italian. His general litigation practice is enhanced by his knowledge of other countries and cultures.  The focus of his practice is representing (re)insurers in complex disputes around the world, with a particular emphasis on Latin-America, and on complex U.S. losses with significant London reinsurance markets. Hernán has acted in matters for (re)insurers in Africa, the Americas, central Asia and Oceania.

In his work with the firm's Employment Team, he provides research and drafting support and has a particular interest in the effective communication of employer policies to Spanish-speaking employees.  Hernán has drafted, reviewed and translated employee manuals and internal policies to precisely communicate employer policies and expectations.

Hernán attended the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where he received the President’s Scholarship for students who reflect strength in their academic performance. During law school, through the St. Thomas Immigration Law Clinic, he represented pro bono clients seeking asylum in immigration court.
