Deepa Sutherland
Deepa Sutherland is an experienced insurance litigator with experience in high stakes international and domestic commercial litigation and arbitration and e-discovery expertise across commercial litigation, internal and regulatory investigations.
Since joining Zelle International LLP in May 2015, Deepa’s practice has focused on Rest of World matters with an English law and jurisdiction element. She is working on some of the firm’s largest matters each with its own cross border element.

Representing insurer in respect of a cross border product liability claim in involving parties in Central Asia and Europe (English, German and Kazakh law).

Advising reinsurer on aggregation in respect of a property damage and business interruption claim following a major loss in the South Pacific.
Provided coverage advice on a CAR policy to reinsurance market following property damage at a multi-billion dollar resort project in the Carribbean.
Representing reinsurance market in a mutli-billion dollar suspected metals fraud in China.
