Alexander W. Cogbill

Alexander’s practice focuses on complex commercial and (re)insurance litigation.

Alexander’s first- and third-party experience includes all stages of pre-suit investigations through post-trial motions and appeals. Alexander specializes in the issues that arise from commercial property policies including all risk, builder’s risk, inland marine, and equipment breakdown. He is currently working on cases involving insurance fraud, allegations of bad faith, subrogation, time element, reinsurance, catastrophic loss, and COVID-19. He also defends businesses in commercial dispute, construction, real estate, and premises litigation.

Alexander was formerly the Alvin H. Glick International Law Scholar and a clerk for the Honorable Jane S. Scholl in Connecticut.
