Jonathan Riveras
Jonathan Riveras is an associate in Zelle’s Ft. Lauderdale office where he focuses his practice on insurance coverage and first-party property insurance defense litigation; he represents insurance carriers throughout the state of Florida.
Prior to joining Zelle, Jonathan advised and successfully represented insurers in first-party disputes at a large, national defense firm. Jonathan began his legal career at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted criminal cases on behalf of the State of Florida, argued pre-trial motions, and handled trials.
Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor from The Florida State University College of Law. He served as the Managing Editor of the Business Law Review during his time at Florida State. While in law school, Jonathan also externed with the 2nd Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office, as well as the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida.
