Steven Badger to Present at PLRB Large Loss Conference
November 17, 2017Zelle LLP partner Steven Badger will present at the PLRB Large Loss Conference, which will take place November 15-17, 2017 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Badger will be joined by Jason Keen of VeriClaim and Chad Zielinski of J.S. Held to present on “Common Disputes & Emerging Issues in the Large Commercial Roofing Loss.” During the session, they will discuss:
- Identification of physical loss or damage – what is and what isn’t physical loss or damage to a commercial roofing system?
- Determining date of loss, pre-existing damage, and dealing with multiple events
- Establishing estimated and incurred cost of repair/replacement and payment obligations; use of estimates vs. bids
- Building code requirements and code upgrade coverage
- Dealing with roofing contractors and public adjusters participating in the claims process
